A special celebration of Hindi Diwas 2026 took place at Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University, as the Embassy of India in Yerevan brought together Indian students, Armenian students, and friends of India to celebrate the Hindi language and Indian culture.
The event was filled with enthusiasm, talent, and vibrant cultural performances. One of the highlights was the ‘Hindi Pratiyogita’, where participants took part in short speech and poetry recitation competitions. Armenian friends of India, including children, also joined the celebrations with great enthusiasm.
Adding to the excitement, Indian students presented semi-classical dance performances, bringing the colours and traditions of India to the stage. Their performances made the cultural programme even more lively and memorable.
The event also celebrated the efforts of participants, with certificates and prizes presented to the winners of the competitions. The Ambassador of India addressed the gathering and appreciated everyone who contributed to the cultural programme.
For Indian students studying at Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University, the celebration was a wonderful opportunity to stay connected with their culture while sharing it with the Armenian community.
