Visit to the Scientific Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts of the History of Armenia Matenadaran

On 6 december 1st year students and students of preparatory courses of Medical faculty visited the research institute of ancient manuscripts of History of Armenia Matenadaran. They were shown manuscripts and handwritten fragments, early printed books from almost 20 000 storage units of Matenadaran. The exposition gives a general idea of the development of the medieval Armenian culture, science, literature, and in general, the development of the Armenian culture over the centuries. The students got to know about creation of Armenian alphabet, saw the images of Armenian monuments, different sceneries. The students were happy to see that there is shown some Indian manuscripts as well and they liked the exhibition and asked many questions with great pleasure
